PNWGP iperf Server

The PNWGP iperf server is available for use by PNWGP participants. 'iperf' is a network tool that rewards one with knowledge of tcp/ip. The most basic standard test--a ten second bandwidth test--will show how well the network can send data between two hosts in only one direction over a ten second time period.

The PNWGP iperf server is available at the following domain name:
web100.pnw-gigapop.net. This domain name will be used on the command line
when using the iperf software tool.

The PNWGP iperf server is connected to the Gigapop at 10Gbps.

The software tools for using this iperf server must be downloaded and installed. They are available at
http://sourceforge.net/projects/iperf

Documentation on how to use iperf is available at
http://sourceforge.net/projects/iperf/iperfdocs_1.7.0.php

If you have questions about the iperf server or test results, please contact the Network Operations Center at
noc@pnw-gigapop.net
or
